favorite finds for kiddos

today is going to be very short sweet because dinner needs to be prepared and nap time is over.  but i found a great online store for my girls.  i love anything for the kids that have a great design, is functional, and fun.  these crayons are awesome!  they're completely out of stock, so i have to wait to get them for ella.  but the rest of the online store is great and i'm already spotting some things for my wishlist for ella's upcoming 2 year birthday!

today's fav pic of the day is a picture of the getty museum in los angeles.  i took this picture quite a few years back when my hubbie and i decided to go and visit on a whim.

the garden is definitely my favorite part of the museum because it's so serene and the view of los angeles is amazing.  when it's a clear day, with no smog, you can see all the way to the pacific ocean.

if you ever go to los angeles to visit, this is one of the those places you cannot miss.  the gift shop is awesome too.

unorganized

i've been trying to follow my daily guidelines, but with errands, and stay at home mom stuff...it's been pretty tough to find time.  so, i guess i'll just go with the flow.  

aren't these lamps so divine? i could just picture them right on my night stand right now!  they're from west elm.

right now, i'm just trying to find some inspiration for my upcoming etsy shop and dabbling into what i have laying around my drawers to gather inspiration.

i've been reading some really great blogs that are helping me get motivated and inspired, but i have to admit, it gets pretty overwhelming.

i guess i just need to make it simple and chic and easy...like these lamps.

etsy finds (aka. my wish list)

happy tuesday!  so, i don't know about you, but i always find myself browsing through etsy and making a HUGE list of the things that i want.  here are a few items that are on my wish list and wish to share.  what i usually do is click on their "pounce" option where you can browse undiscovered sellers and items that have just been sold.  i love love love etsy and i am actually in the works of opening my own etsy shop pretty soon!  i'll keep you posted on what my master plan is.  but i basically have a few things that i've conjured up to sell.  i'm really excited about it and getting a little nervous about it too, but i'm pretty sure it'll be really cool!

this birdcage decal is soooo adorable and i want to put it up in the girls' room when we get ella's new toddler bed and everything a little more situated in their room.

one of my favorite things are housewares with horse designs.  i don't know why, but i just love whimsical objects with horses on them.  here is one that i know i'll be definitely getting soon.

and last, but not least....here is a great scarf that i found and i think what attracted to me about it was the color of the shirt.  (what happens to be my favorite color.)  but it's a great design on a scarf and i think great for the spring.  haven't decided if i want to buy it soon because texas weather is pretty humid...might have to buy it and wear it for the winter!

favorite pic of the day

today's favorite pic of the day is one of my ella at disneyland.  on a recent trip to california, we stopped by disneyland with the girls.  here she is in toon town where we bought her a pair of micky ears and her name embroidered on them.  disneyland was a blast, but can be very stressful at times and it didn't help that it rained hard for 20 minutes.

definitely the next trip will be when they're both older and potty trained ; )

so far, our week is going off to a rough start, but there's always tomorrow.  i hate mondays anway.

friday - design. one of my passions is interior design.  i love finding inspirations and furniture that i just love to look at and hopefully incorporate it in my own life...if i had the $$$. ; )

lazy sunday

today's weather is truly impeccable!  it's perfect perfect perfect! and of course, we're feeling lazy today and everyone is relaxing in our pj's. all the windows are open and we're just enjoying the beautiful breeze.

lately i've been feeling really inspired to put up favorite pictures of us up around the house. we have so many wonderful pictures and it's almost a shame that we don't display them.  even out wedding pictures!  the picture above is my inspiration of how i want our pics to be displayed.

My First Blog

well, hello and welcome to my blog!  my posts will be mostly of my two gorgeous girls, daily life in the oakford household, crafts, and pretty much everything that i love that i want to share. bella and bug are nicknames that i call my girls.  "ella bella" and "bug" (chloe).  ella is the oldest and going to turn 2 in May...eek! chloe is 6 months.  boy, how time flies.  i wish i could have a better post for my first time, but it's nearly 1 am and like any mother i NEED to shower. stay-at-home moms you know what i mean!
